Wrapping up the training

Another great day, learned a lot. I just finished blogging on my own blog and Mishkin mentioned this site/blog will probably move, but in the case anybody from the class is checking this out, here's the links to the stuff I was talking about in the class.

Microsoft Patterns and Practice's Agile work environment tour:
http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Charles/Tour-Patterns-and-Practices-Lab/

Tools We Use:
http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/
http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/
http://www.greenpeppersoftware.com/confluence/display/GH/Plugin (plugin for JIRA that simulates the Agile wall, gets burndown reports etc)
Good ol' fashioned whiteboards, corkboards and paper

JIRA integrates with IDE's, code repos and a bunch of other stuff and is easy to use and light weight.

Those 2 tools run our customer support, project management, bug tracking and product development (so our whole back-office except for sales functions which we use Salesforce.com - Sidebar, I'm trying to get us to switch to SugarCRM...shhh, don't tell anybody...)

If anyone manages to check this out before the site is dismantled, feel free to keep in touch. http://plog.jasonlittle.ca or jason@jasonlittle.ca

Was great meeting you all, best of luck and thanks Mishkin!
